Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Endorses Rep. Jonathan Dever 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) has been endorsed by the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Political Action Committee for re-election to the Ohio House. 

“Our goal is to help elect the most qualified candidates to protect and grow Ohio manufacturing,” said OMA President Eric Burkland. “With today’s endorsement, we’ve taken an important step in accomplishing that goal. Representative Dever supports the issues that are important to Ohio manufacturers and their employees and understands that a strong manufacturing sector leads to a healthier economy, good jobs and improved quality of life for all Ohioans. We are pleased to support him.” 

Dever is seeking his second term to the Ohio House. He represents the 28th House District, which includes the northern suburbs of Hamilton County. During his first term in office, he supported several pieces of legislation that will help grow Ohio’s economy, including voting to reduce income tax rates for families and small business owners, as well as to lower fees for entrepreneurs looking to create new businesses. 

"During my tenure in the Ohio House I have worked diligently to bring good-paying jobs back to Ohio, including those in manufacturing," said Dever. "I look forward to continuing to collaborate with Ohio's manufacturers and thank the Ohio Manufacturers' Association for its support of my re-election campaign." 

Candidate endorsements are made by the OMA-PAC board of directors based on a variety of factors including public records and OMA member support in the district.

Ohio Chamber of Commerce Endorses Rep. Jonathan Dever

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) has been endorsed by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce for his re-election to the Ohio House.

"Ohio has made great strides to ensure our job creators have the needed resources to create good paying jobs in our state,” Dever said. “I am committed to building upon the nearly 30,000 new jobs in Hamilton County over the past 20 months so we can get Ohioans working again. I look forward to working with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce to accomplish these goals."

During his first term in office, he supported several pieces of legislation that will help grow Ohio’s economy, including voting to reduce income tax rates for families and small business owners, as well as to lower fees for entrepreneurs looking to create new businesses. Dever Named "Friend of Agriculture"

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) has been named a “Friend of Agriculture” by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation for his re-election to the Ohio House. This award is in recognition of Rep. Dever’s unwavering support of agriculture, which is Ohio’s number-one industry, supporting one in seven jobs in the state.

"It is an honor to be named a 'Friend of Agriculture' by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation," Dever said. "As an attorney representing Ohio farmers, I understand the challenges faced by farmers throughout our state. During his first term, Dever supported legislation that updated public notification requirements for incidents of lead contamination in drinking water. NFIB Ohio Endorses Jonathan Dever

NFIB Ohio Endorses Rep. Jonathan Dever for Re-Election to Ohio House

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) has received the endorsement of NFIB/Ohio SAFE Trust PAC, a group that advocates for small and independent businesses, for his re-election to the Ohio House of Representatives.

In its endorsement letter, NFIB stated that it believes Rep. Dever will “continue to be a positive and proactive voice on behalf of small businesses while in the Ohio Legislature.”

"It is humbling to have the support and confidence of NFIB/Ohio,” Dever said. “As a small business owner I understand the challenges of getting off the ground, dealing with burdensome regulations, and making a payroll. Like I have throughout my first term in office, I will continue advocating for policies that encourage job creation and support small business owners.”

Dever is running for his second term in the 28th House District, which includes the northern suburbs of Hamilton County. During his first term in office, Dever supported several pieces of legislation that will help grow Ohio’s economy, including voting to lower fees on entrepreneurs looking to create new businesses. He also sponsored House Bill 387, which made it easier for small business owners to recover losses in small claims court and avoid paying such high court and attorney costs.

NFIB endorses candidates who promote policies that are supportive of small businesses. Founded in 1943, the organization represents 325,000 small and independent business owners nationwide.

Rep. Jonathan Dever Announces Run for Re-Election to Ohio House

 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Cincinnati) has announced that he is running for a second term as State Representative for Ohio’s 28th House District in 2016.

“I am excited to announce that I will be running for re-election to the Ohio House,” said Dever. “Over the past year I have focused on a broad range of issues that help strengthen our communities, promote job growth, and ensure government transparency. I humbly ask for the constituents of the 28th District for their support and vote next November.”

During his first term in office, Dever has sponsored and supported numerous pieces of legislation to help families and small businesses in Ohio, including cutting income taxes across-the-board by 6.3 percent for all Ohioans. He also sponsored legislation that helps to ease financial strains on individuals with disabilities that was signed into law in July of 2015.

While in office, Dever has been on the forefront of advocating for more funding for public education, especially for the school districts hit hardest by the loss of TPP dollars. In addition, Rep. Dever sponsored a bill to make state government spending more transparent by introducing legislation to establish an online database of state spending through OhioCheckbook.com.

Following Dever’s re-election announcement, he quickly received the endorsement of more than sixty elected officials and the Ohio House Republican caucus and campaign committee. He also received high praise from Ohio House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville), who applauded his commitment to serving his constituents.

“Representative Dever has been a very valuable addition to our caucus during his first term,” Rosenberger said. “He has served the people of the 28th House District responsively and with great integrity. I am proud to support his re-election bid and look forward to working together in the House to continue moving Ohio in a positive direction.”

A lawyer by trade, Dever is the founder of the Dever Law Firm, located in West Chester where he helps families and businesses survive, expand, and thrive. He is a member of the Ohio, Cincinnati, and Butler County Bar Associations.

Dever and his wife, Martha, live in Madeira with their two sons.
