Jonathan Dever is an retired attorney, entrepreneur, and former Ohio State Representative with more than twenty years of experience serving Ohio families, businesses, and communities. Known for his strong conservative leadership, financial expertise, and commitment to responsible government, Jonathan has built a career focused on strengthening Ohio’s economy, protecting consumers, and promoting practical, results-driven policy solutions.

Jonathan Dever is an retired attorney, entrepreneur, and former Ohio State Representative with more than twenty years of experience serving Ohio families, businesses, and communities. Known for his strong conservative leadership, financial expertise, and commitment to responsible government, Jonathan has built a career focused on strengthening Ohio’s economy, protecting consumers, and promoting practical, results-driven policy solutions.
While serving in the Ohio House, Jonathan chaired the Financial Institutions, Housing, and Urban Development Committee, where he worked to update Ohio’s banking laws and protect homeowners, consumers, and small businesses. He also authored the Ohio STABLE Act, landmark legislation creating tax-advantaged savings accounts that help individuals with disabilities and their families build financial security.
A lifetime NRA member, Jonathan is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and religious liberty. He served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2020 and 2024, and his expertise in financial policy led to him being considered by President Donald Trump to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Jonathan is a retired attorney and founder of Dever Law Firm, where he spent more than two decades representing families, businesses, and financial institutions. He later founded Commercium Financial, a Wyoming-chartered digital banking institution focused on modernizing financial services.
